Puritan preacher Thomas Brookes once said, "A family without prayer is like a house without a roof, open and exposed to all the storms."

Acts 10 introduces us to Cornelius and his family. During one of Cornelius's prayer times, God gave him a vision of Peter. The next day, in another city, Peter was praying, and God gave Peter a vision. God was bringing a new period to the church. The door was being opened to the Gentiles.

Peter was able to hear from the Lord, because he was a man of prayer. Cornelius was also able to hear from the Lord because he was a man of prayer. Praying brought salvation to the family of Cornelius.

When a family learns to pray together, amazing things can happen. Just like Cornelius and his family, they need to fear God and pray regularly.

2 Timothy 3:16: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
